McLuck verification documents

Player verification (Know Your Customer/KYC) is a mandatory safety process at McLuck. The standard process consists of two confirming your identity and verifying your location. Documents are securely processed through the Veriff verification gateway.

Additional checks may apply depending on your account activity. For example, a Gold Coins package purchase, changes to your registered details, a source-of-funds review, or a Sweepstakes prize redemption may require different supporting documentation. Simply complete the specific verification tasks displayed in your account portal.

Verification typeDocuments McLuck accepts
Identity VerificationAn unexpired government-issued photo ID (passport photo page completely visible, or a driver’s license or state or national ID card with both front and back images). The document must clearly display your full legal name, date of birth, document number and an unexpired expiration date.

Why McLuck requires verification documents

McLuck requires verification documents to confirm that customers meet eligibility and security requirements. This includes verifying that participants are 21 years of age (or the minimum legal age of majority whichever is higher)and physically located in a permitted state before accessing Social Games or redeeming prizes.

Verification protects both customers and the platform by preventing identity theft, fraud, and unauthorised duplicate accounts. Before any cash prize or digital gift card redemption is issued, compliance verifies that the receiving payment method belongs to the verified owner of the McLuck account.

Why requirements differ between accounts

Under McLuck’s Terms of Service, we reserve the right to conduct verification checks whenever reasonably required. A routine identity task requires less than a payment review, a source-of-funds check, a change to your registered details, or a Sweepstakes prize redemption. A previously accepted ID does not guarantee that further evidence won’t be requested later for a different compliance purpose. A Social Security number may also be needed for applicable tax reporting or withholding. These are conditional requirements, not an instruction to send every document in advance.

Two conditions apply to the documents themselves. All document fields, names and addresses must be printed using the standard Latin alphabet. Non-Latin documents require an official certified English translation alongside the original. Documents must originate from permitted states and must not originate from any of the Prohibited Territories.

How to prepare your verification documents

Verification documents are typically evaluated within 48 hours.

Verification document checklist

  • Use the exact document type requested, and confirm that a proof of address was issued within the last 90 days.
  • Check that your full legal name and current residential address match your registered Customer Account, and contact Support first if your details have changed.
  • Ensure photo IDs are current, date of birth and document number are readable.
  • Include both front and back images for ID cards and driver’s license, or the full photo page for passports. Keep all four corners visible in well-lit conditions without flash glare.
  • Do not alter files, do not retouch, merge or edit document files. Redact payment cards only as explicitly instructed (keeping ownership details readable).

Clearing verification authorises your Customer Account for redemptions, which cannot be requested or processed beforehand. If a verification document is declined, our system emails you an automated update explaining the issue. If the upload itself fails, see what to do when you cannot upload verification documents.

Under McLuck’s Terms, failure to provide requested verification documentation within 30 days of the initial request may result in account restriction, suspension or closure.

Is it safe to upload documents to McLuck?

Yes. Identity checks are processed securely through Veriff using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, both in transit and at rest. Documents are accessed exclusively by authorised compliance personnel, and are never sold or rented to third party marketing agencies. Our Privacy Policy sets out how this data is stored and managed.

Always initiate verification from the official McLuck portal: sign in to your account, then open the verification task identified in the request. Never email sensitive identity documents, SSNs or card details via standard email or chat support. If you cannot find the secure task, ask Support where to upload the information, without attaching the sensitive material.
