The lack of a zero pocket is the only substantial change – the wheel still has the usual 1 through 36 numbered pockets, split between red and black colors. Most casinos tweak the prizes slightly to make the game worth hosting by providing a small house edge. Even then, it’s negligible compared to the house edge at European roulette (2.70%) and American roulette (5.26%) tables.

The core gameplay of No Zero Roulette is exactly the same. As a player, you’ll select your chip amounts and put them somewhere on the playing board. You can place multiple chips down at once to hedge against your play, or maximize your return if the ball lands exactly where you want it to.
Then the wheel spins and, since this is an online game, a random number generator that determines where the digital ball will land. Once the ball has stopped, your play will get settled automatically. Then the play board opens up again, ready for players to put more chips down.

The best example of No Zero Roulette gameplay would be an even play. In traditional roulette, even plays like red/black get influenced by the presence of zeroes. The zeroes stop them from being true 50/50 plays, meaning the casino gets some chips back.
No Zero Roulette has a theoretical house edge of 0%. If you backed a red pocket with 50 chips, and it wins, then you were helped by the lack of a zero on the wheel. You’d get 50 chips, unless the prize has been adjusted for house edge reasons – see below.
House Edge in No Zero Roulette
As mentioned, casinos that offer No Zero Roulette might adjust the win prizes to overcome the low house edge. If not, they may also take a very small cut of your chips on certain plays.
