The Terms of Service govern the account and service requirements we apply to this question. Check the current terms before acting because eligibility, payment, promotion, and account rules can change.
Why does McLuck verify an account?
McLuck may conduct age, identity, location, credit-background, payment-ownership, source-of-funds, source-of-wealth, and other checks it reasonably requires or that apply under relevant rules. Verification helps connect the Customer Account, activity, payment mechanism, and potential prize recipient to the correct eligible person. McLuck may restrict the opening or use of an account until the requested checks are completed to its satisfaction.
The request depends on the activity and review. Identity evidence may include a government-issued passport or driver’s license. Address evidence may include a utility bill or another accepted statement matching the registered address. A financial check can require a payslip, bank statement, or other source evidence, while payment ownership can require a redacted copy of a payment mechanism used for a successful purchase.
Prize verification may add proof of address, a biometric facial scan, Social Security number validation, or other eligibility evidence. A redemption bank destination should be held in your name, and the payment method name should match the Customer Account. Do not assume every customer must provide every example; complete only the tasks shown for your account.
Preparing for McLuck account verification
Before you start, check your account details and have the requested documents ready. These steps can help you submit clear, accurate information:
Before you get started
- Sign in to your existing McLuck account on a trusted device; do not register another account for verification.
- Confirm that your legal name matches your government-issued ID and that your other account details are correct.
- Have the exact identity, address, payment, financial, or eligibility document specified in your verification request ready.
- Use a stable internet connection and enable any camera, photo or location permissions requested during verification.
- Clean your camera lens and use even lighting so your face, document text and document edges are clearly visible.
- Photograph the physical document: the Veriff system does not accept digital screenshots.
- Check that names, addresses and other details use the standard Latin alphabet, or have a certified English translation ready.
- Read the privacy and consent notice before submitting an ID, selfie, face scan or other sensitive information.
- Make sure you can access the registered email address for confirmations and follow-up questions.
Complete this task through the request shown on your account under “My Profile”. We can require different documents for different reviews, so submit only what the current request asks for.
How to verify your McLuck account step-by-step
Sign in to McLuck and follow the verification instructions shown in your account.
- Open your verification request. Go to McLuck.com and open the “My Profile” page or secure task shown in your account.
- Check which documents you need. Read the request carefully, including which sides or pages to provide and any submission deadline.
- Take clear images. Make sure each image is complete, readable and unaltered. Follow any on-screen instructions for framing your document or taking a photo.
- Complete any additional checks. Follow the prompts for a selfie, facial verification or any other checks requested as part of your verification.
- Review and submit. Check that you have uploaded the correct files and that all required details are visible before submitting.
- Check your submission status. Wait for confirmation that your documents have been submitted or received. Keep any reference number and monitor your registered email for the outcome or requests for further information.
A “submitted” or “received” status means your documents have been received, but your verification is still awaiting review. Our compliance team reviews submissions within 48 hours and sends the outcome to your registered email address. Learn more about McLuck account verification times.
If switching from your computer to your phone fails, try clearing your browser cache and reopening the verification task. For more help, see our guide to verification document upload problems.
What should you do after submitting?
Keep the account details stable while the check is active. If your name, address, phone number, or other personal information is genuinely outdated, contact Customer Support and ask which supporting documents are needed to update it. Do not edit a document or change account details merely to force a match. An accurate correction and an altered image are not the same thing.
Watch both the verification status and the registered email. A follow-up may ask for a clearer image, a different accepted document, another side or page, payment-ownership evidence, or an additional eligibility check. Respond through the secure route as soon as reasonably possible. Under the Terms, failure to provide requested documentation within 30 days of the first request may lead to account restriction, deactivation, or termination.
If verification is connected with a redemption, complete the verification task but continue to treat the redemption as pending until its status separately changes. Completing an upload is not confirmation that an account, potential winning play, or prize request has been approved.
What happens if your verification document upload is rejected?
A declined document upload triggers an automated email explaining the issue. Please read that message before trying again. Automated scanning rejects files for a short list of predictable reasons: a corner clipped out of frame; flash reflection, glare, or blur that obscures your name, birth date, document number, or photo; details covered or altered outside a payment card redaction we requested; and an expired ID or an address document older than 90 days.
Match the email against that list before resubmitting, because the two failure types need different fixes. For a capture problem, move to a well-lit space and photograph all four corners without glare. For a validity problem, obtain a fresh copy rather than reuploading the same file, then submit through your account settings.
McLuck verification failed? Get help
Contact Support when the verification task will not open, an upload fails, registered information needs a genuine correction, or the requested evidence is unclear. Include the registered email, task or document type, device, browser or app version, and exact error or status. Ask which requirement remains incomplete and which approved secure route to use. Do not attach passwords, one-time codes, or complete debit or credit card details.
