What is Multi-Ball Roulette?
Multi-Ball Roulette is a type of online roulette that uses several balls. Since it’s primarily an online roulette variant, the player can decide how many balls they’ll play with, between two and ten. A popular version of this game is Multi Ball Madness.
Each ball represents an equal portion of your total play. If you play a total of 10 chips with 10 balls, each ball carries a 1-chip value. All of the balls are released at once, and each ball that lands in a winning pocket triggers a reward based on its individual value. This means you can win multiple times on a single spin if multiple balls land on your chosen numbers or colors.
While Multi-Ball Roulette is mostly played online, some brick-and-mortar casinos offer double-ball roulette.

How to Play Multi-Ball Roulette
Multi-Ball Roulette starts like the ordinary game, with you selecting a play from the table and putting some chips down. Before you spin, you’ll then select how many balls you want to spin. This will split your total chips across the number of balls in play.
From there, you can spin the wheel and wait for every ball to stop in a pocket. Played online, spins are managed by random number generation software. Wins or losses are settled automatically once the wheel has stopped.
Then it’s time to put chips down again, and the rounds repeat from there.
Example of Multi-Ball Roulette Gameplay
Some gameplay examples will help demonstrate how using several balls changes the game.
Let’s say you use three balls and play a total of 30 chips, predicting that the balls will land on a black pocket. This effectively places 10 chips on each ball. If two balls land on Red and one ball lands on Black, you would win for the single ball that landed correctly.
Since an outside play pays 1:1, you would receive 20 chips back (your 10-chip portion for that ball plus 10 chips in winnings).
If you play the same 30 chips on a straight-up play (predicting the 2 pocket), and one of your three balls lands there, you win 35:1 on that ball’s portion of the play.
Since that ball represented 10 chips, you would win 350 chips plus the 10-chip return. If more than one ball lands in that same pocket, you win that amount again for every ball that hits!
In either case, the house edge is unchanged. It’ll be 2.70% for European wheels and 5.26% for American wheels.
